Rugby

If you're looking to play or watch Rugby in Abbotsford, you're in luck! The Abbotsford Rugby Football Club has leagues for pretty much anyone, any age or gender, from age five right to age seventy. This diverse league plays other teams from the Lower Mainland, the Okanagan, Vancouver Island and even Seattle. They have separate boys and girls "Mini-Rugby" teams from grades K-1, 2-3, 4-5 and 6-7. They also have a "Youth Girls" and "Youth Boys" league. The Youth Boys league has teams for U-14 (under age 14), U-15, U-16, U-17 and U-19, while the Youth Girls league has U-13, U-14 and U-18. Also available is the "Women's Division," with a team of mixed ages from anyone in their late teens to mid-thirties. Now there are three different "Men's Divisions." These three divisions are in order of skill and competition. The third division is for casual players, and is the least competitive. The second and first divisions are for extremely competitive players, with only the most skilled making it to the first division. Once again, the age group is late teens to mid thirties. Older than that? Not a problem. The Abbotsford Rugby Football Club also has an "Old Boy's" league for men over forty. This league has an age group of forty years old to over seventy! The league also has a store on their website with which you can buy all the equipment you could possibly need for rugby. If playing this wonderful sport isn't your thing, all games and practices are open for the public to watch.
